“Come and show me another city with lifted head singing so proud to be alive and coarse and strong and cunning.”
– Chicago, Carl Sandburg 1914
Growing up in the shadows of skyscrapers shapes one’s perception of what it means to reach for the sky. The cityscape is lined with reminders of what can be accomplished with enough imagination. As an epicenter of history, Chicago has deep roots that grounds its inhabitants in tradition. A shared legacy that pushes natives to be fearless when pursuing goals, never backing away from a challenge, relishing friendly competition.
That inimitable spirit has helped define and propel us forward. As natives to this great city it would be remiss of us not to include it as a defining inspirational cornerstone.
